Depending on how you use Purrpose, we may collect:

• account information, such as your email address, username, and sign-in identifiers;
• profile information you choose to add, such as your display name or avatar;
• productivity data, including goals, tasks, roadmap inputs, roadmap outputs, streaks, and related app activity;
• partner-sharing data, such as shared goal details, progress status, and recent shared activity when you use accountability features;
• device and service identifiers needed to deliver push notifications, such as notification tokens and platform type;
• subscription and purchase status returned by billing providers and app stores.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• create and secure accounts;
• store and sync your goals, tasks, and progress;
• generate AI-supported roadmaps, suggestions, and related in-app responses;
• enable partner and shared-progress features when you choose to use them;
• send reminders, notifications, and service messages;
• manage subscriptions, restore purchases, and provide customer support;
• detect abuse, maintain security, and keep the service running.

3. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

• with infrastructure and data providers that help operate the service, such as hosting, authentication, database, and storage providers;
• with sign-in, notification, and billing providers, including Google Sign-In, Firebase Cloud Messaging, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google, when needed to provide those features;
• with AI service providers when necessary to generate roadmap or assistant outputs from the prompts and content you submit;
• with another user when you intentionally use partner or shared-goal features;
• if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the security of the service.

4. Push notifications

If you allow notifications, Purrpose stores the device token and platform information needed to deliver reminders and progress messages. You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are processed by the relevant app store and related billing tools. Purrpose may receive subscription status, entitlement information, and transaction-related metadata needed to unlock or restore paid features. Full payment details are handled by the store or payment provider, not by Purrpose directly.

6. Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete content in the app, some copies may remain in backups for a limited period.

7. Your choices

You can generally:

• update or remove some profile and productivity data inside the app;
• stop using shared-goal features;
• disable push notifications in device settings;
• manage or cancel subscriptions through the platform where you subscribed;
• request deletion or privacy help through the support contact listed in the relevant app store listing for Purrpose.

8. Children

Purrpose is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that personal information from a child was collected without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

9. International processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live because our service providers may operate internationally. We use reasonable measures to protect data during those transfers.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Policy changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The newest version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
